Deniz is an Antwerp-based young proffesional - visual artist with an academic background, holding a masters degree in Applied Visual Arts at Sint-Lucas Antwerpen. Complementing his education, he enriched his artistic perspective through an exchange semester at the esteemed Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
His artistic repertoire encompasses a diverse range of techniques, including photography, etching, stencil techniques, collages, ceramics, and much more. The synthesis of these mediums results in a distinctive and enigmatic style, characterized by Deniz his illustrative work intertwined with various graphic elements.
Exploring themes such as adolescence and coming of age, infused with an obscure and mysterious aesthetic, his work reflects influences from fashion, tattoo culture and nature. Presently, he is immersed in a captivating research project that explores the significance of girlhood within his personal coming of age narrative. Focused on the interplay of femininity within masculinity, throughout the metaphor of a dark forest, where one finds comfort in the safe space of a rabbit hole.
